Our client, a prestigious Private Equity fund, is currently sourcing candidates for a Vice President for their office in Sao Paulo. The Vice President will work closely with other investment professionals and will play an integral role in evaluating and executing new investment opportunities for the fund. The Vice President will also be responsible for developing and executing the asset management strategies of new and existing investments, primarily operating companies, special situations and commercial real estate. Duties of the VP will include: researching and analyzing target industries and proactively identifying new investment opportunities, performing all aspects of due diligence and underwriting, engaging third party consultants and managing the external acquisition process, and building detailed financial models to support both investment decisions and asset management activities. These modeling activities include creating financial statements and complex discounted cash flow models including ROI, NPV and IRR calculations. The VP will also participate in meetings with sellers, management teams, M&A intermediaries and financing sources, assist in the pricing, negotiating and documenting of transactions, author pitch materials and investment committee memorandums (ICMs) for senior management and investors, provide support to asset management and portfolio management initiatives of existing investments including, but not limited to, financial analysis, developing and executing business plans, and other ad hoc strategic projects, and build ad-hoc analysis and prepare high-level research as needed. Candidates will be expected to have had at least 5 years of experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity, and must have deal experience in Latin America in a diverse industry background.
